What to do after retirement? Challenges for an Ex-service man.
At very young age they face the challenges that really test every ounce of their physical strength and mental determination. It takes Days and night, sweat and blood to become soldier and then they are posted at most difficult locations facing the enemy.
After facing all these challenges, when they retire they face another big challenge. A challenge to resettle as a civilian. Believe me it is not as easy as it may seem. It requires counselling and specialized training to make them able to adopt life as civilian and finding a job for meeting the financial needs of their family.
The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (Ministry of Defense) provides training and counselling to Ex-servicemen with the help of Training Institutes such as the Orion Institute of security and Intelligence .
